Narayan Rao
Managing Director

Narayan is the Managing Director of Bourton Consulting (India) Pvt. Ltd. With a strong foundation in manufacturing, and a passion for driving improvements, he has direct experience of leading and transforming businesses. He works well with teams, challenging and motivating them to give of their best.

After graduating in 1977 from IIT Madras, he joined HAL as a Management Trainee and then worked for 5 years in the Helicopter Division. He then shifted to the private sector. From 1995-2009 he worked in Yuken India Limited, where he headed an SBU and personally led the Lean Transformation. As a consultant, he now works with companies like HAL, L&T Komatsu, BEML, Wipro, Indo-US MIM Tec and GMR to help them significantly improve their operations through Policy Deployment, implementation of Lean, Supply Chain Management and TWI.

Pramod Athalye
Executive Director

Pramod is the Executive Director and a launching member of Bourton Group India. He has extensive experience in initiating and leading operational improvements in business processes in Services organizations using TQMS, Six-Sigma, and Lean. His guiding principle is to Do it right the first time…and then continue to Improve It.

He has worked in the US for over 20 years with AT&T and GE in a variety of positions including Business Development, Asset Management and Finance. As a consultant, he has worked with companies like Wipro and GMR and helped them achieve significantly improved results. He also works with Bourton France to deliver world-class Supply Chain Management programs to large multinational clients.

Pramod’s academic qualifications include B. Tech from IIT Madras, MS Engineering from University of Texas, Austin and MBA from University of California, Berkeley.
